“It’s California meets Coney Island.”
The Sunday Times, one of Great Britain’s largest newspapers, is totally obsessed with us. Writer Julia Buckley has visited our beloved city 4 times from across the pond. She says, “This time, I wanted to sit back and absorb the summer. Because if you want an all-American, easily accessible summer holiday — addictive junk food, worryingly friendly locals, blue-collar grit and millennial charm — Buffalo is your place.”
With our infamous long, cold, snowy winters (and springs), Buffalonians really know how to make the best of our warm-weather months!, and now we’re gaining international attention for our summers. “Kayaks, sightseeing boats and even — because this is America — motorised floating tiki bars” are some of the activities that led to Buffalo being names the “coolest summer city in America” by the freaking London Times. Do we think the Queen has read about us?!
