Warning: this article is about one of ours and Oprah’s favorite things… SHOOOOOPPIIIIIIIINNGGG!

The Buffalo shopping scene has been getting better and better over the years ~halleloo~ and our closets, houses, and pets are all the flyer for it. With so many places to choose from these days it’s great when local shops can come together in one place for your shopping pleasure. With this in mind, Modern Nostalgia decided the shoppers of Buffalo and Western New York needed a place to find multiple local businesses all operating under the same roof…and thus their function collaborative “Lifestyle Shop” was born!
Ever scroll through Instagram and wish you dressed/had the apartment of/had the life of all those fashion bloggers you follow (read: stalk)? Modern Nostalgia, or Mod Nos as it’s lovingly called, is one of those places where you walk in and immediately need everything. And we mean EVERYTHING. Because it looks exactly like where those fashion bloggers you stalk must shop. Mod Nos curates the clothes, jewelry, bags, prints, postcards, home accessories, and everything in between with lots of TLC so when you shop there you know you’re getting the best of the best/cutest of the cute. Mod Nos also carries lots of amazing local brands like Buffalo Book Arts, Pegs Hardware, Little Pearl Big City, Once and For All, Hemingway, Ian Michael Co, and Zandra which makes our hearts flutter #shoplocal. Plus with a wide range of brands and products like this there’s something for everyone’s style and budget. AKA exactly what we’re looking for in a shopping experience. Get in loser we’re going shopping.
But wait, there’s more! Local favorites Makers, Love in Motion, Wrafterbuilt, and Emerson James Inc. all call the Mod Nos space home-base. The inspiration to create this function collaborative Lifestyle Shop together with other great local businesses came about by Mod Nos’ desire to constantly evolve and bring newness to their ever evolving customer (hint: that’s you). From Makers’ Mini Maker Camps to yoga sessions to furniture and lighting fixtures, there is truly something for everyone at Mod Nos. Never heard of one/two/any of the aforementioned businesses? Nbd, you can check out the amazing things they have to offer by just going to *one* store. They literally couldn’t have made this any easier or cooler for us.
Sparknotes: Mod Nos is a one-stop-shop filled with a bunch of Western New York businesses that fulfills all of your shopping needs. Also the layout of the collaborative is one giant #houseinspo/#waredrobeinspo/#lifeinspo trio so plan on wanting to live here because it’s adorable.
