Spring is (almost) in the air. And a visit to the museum is the ideal activity for this in-between season that may or may not ever come. It’s not just for kids, guys. Here’s why you’ll want to add Buffalo Museum of Science to your springtime social calendar.
1. Field Trips for Adults!
Sometimes it’s hard to remember that museums are not just for kids! The adult-only workshops and events are most definitely worth checking out. Create inspired art, experiment with color-changing cocktails, or explore the shape of color. SciNight adult workshops are coming up on March 28, April 4, and April 25.
2. Get Messy By Yourself
This after-hours program may get messy in more ways than one (wink, wink). There will be activities, and more importantly, there will be a cash bar. For $15 you can participate in this 21+ Science After Hours: Adult Messfest on April 6. Get ready to make tie-dye, throw paint, and experience slime time fun, drink in hand!

3. Get Interactive at digiPlaySpace NOW
This super cool, not-just- for-kids interactive space closes on April 22. If you haven’t checked it out yet, do it right now. Design your own digital fish, navigate the virtual race course, get silly on the green screen, and perfect your DJ skills. Basically, do it all… while you can.
PRO TIP: Here’s what’s coming up to do as a family too.
- Get Extra Egg-cited About Spring Egg-stravaganza -This event at Tifft Nature Preserve is all about celebrating animals that hatch from eggs. You and the kids will meet live animals, make crafts, play games, enjoy refreshments, and more. Get tickets to this March 30 event now, and don’t forget to BYOE to participate in the egg dying activity.
- Let Your Kids Get Messy Too – The family version of Messfest is a celebration of everything gooey, sticky, and fun. Think the messiest of science experiments imaginable, but zero cleanup for you. A win-win for everyone! This family-friendly event takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 7.
