Arkells have a three-night residency at Town Ballroom this month

As of late December, it looks like The Powers That Be aren’t going to shut down live music just yet. That could change.

January 2022 is actually a great month for music at our local mid-sized venues. Power pop heavy hitters Motion City Soundtrack come to Town Ballroom on January 8, while Arkells have a three-night residency there just a few days later.

There’s also some really good local music to check out this month from Ex-Pat (Jan. 15 at Nietzsche’s), Farrow (Jan. 21 at Jack Rabbit) and Wine Lips (Jan. 22 at Mohawk Place).

As always, this is not a comprehensive list. These shows may or may not be sold out as you read these words. Although rising COVID-19 numbers threaten to change the situation, there are currently a lot of good shows, so let’s keep it that way. Please be sure to follow all venue guidelines regarding proof of vaccination, COVID testing, masks, etc.

Now get out there and enjoy some live music, Buffalo!
