We deserve nice things. We’ve endured a blizzard, a premature end to the Bills season, a house-shaking earthquake and cold, rainy weather that refused to end. And that’s just the last five months.
Thankfully, the Live Music Gods have conspired to provide a bumper crop of live music acts this June. Cloud Nothings and Wavves bring what’s arguably “the tour of the spring” to Rec Room. Big Wreck bring their towering Canadian hits to Town Ballroom. Mad Caddies bring 90s ska-punk to Mohawk Place. There’s even a local appearance by Hollywood royalty: Billy Bob Thornton and his Boxmasters band will play bluesy rock to an intimate crowd at Rec Room.
As always, this is a list of club and mid-sized venue shows, not a comprehensive list of live music. If there’s a good one we missed, sound off in the comments. These shows may or may not be sold out (canceled) as you read these words. Now get out there and enjoy some live music!!
