Born Without Bones, Sunday December 18 at Mohawk Place

Many touring bands go quiet during December, and that just means there’s more opportunity to appreciate all of the homegrown talents in Western New York.

Joywave proteges KOPPS light up the Mohawk Place stage early in the month, and later in the month, the Mohawk’s annual Christmas party is a marquee event for the local music scene. If you’re looking for holiday vibes, the Elliot Scozzaro Quartet are playing the Charlie Brown Christmas album at Revolution Gallery. Professional touring bands sprinkled in throughout the month include Onyx at Showplace Theater, The Spill Canvas at Rec Room and Thievery Corporation at Town Ballroom.

As always, this is a list of club and mid-sized venue shows, not a comprehensive list of live music. If there’s a good one we missed, sound off in the comments. These shows may or may not be sold out (canceled) as you read these words. Now get out there and enjoy some live music!!
