A new sustainable art supply shop is opening up on Grant Street in the West Side of Buffalo. Buffalo Art Supply is focused on offering community members a variety of gently used or new art supplies at affordable prices.
So, what’s the store like? The best way to think of it is like a consignment shop for art supplies, without the exclusive and high-priced nature of vintage and unique pieces. Buffalo Art Supply offers exactly what you’d find shopping at a commercial art store, but they do it with a lot more charm and a lot bigger focus on the community. There’s art all over the walls, art books for sale at pay-what-you-can prices, and two art experts, Sam and Tam, who will help you with anything you need.

Kay Leach, owner of I AM MAGICK, and founder of Buffalo Art Supply, hopes that this new space will be an accessible local treasure for the entire community. She believes that art is magic, and wants to make sure every person has a chance to create their own magic. Her goal is that the shop be a place that’s convenient for community members to visit.

The shop stocks its shelves by buying gently used or new art supplies and collecting donations at the end of every month. They carry art supplies for any form of artistic expression, including painting, drawing, stained glass, calligraphy, ceramics, and more.
Buffalo Art Supply is ready to welcome you to their new store with arms wide open.
