2022 Update:
Back in January of 2018 Tacos, Community, & Beer opened its doors on Transit Road with a menu full of specialty tacos in a modern rustic atmosphere. Since then they’ve expanded to offer a full drink menu with cocktails, beer, and wine. They also now have a second location in Downtown Buffalo located at 1275 Delaware Ave.
For updated info about what they have to offer, check out TCB’s restaurant listing below.
Here’s the story of their opening in 2018
Transit Road recently welcomed a new taco joint called Tacos, Community & Beer, aka TBC. Our immediate thoughts are:
1- The food menu is taco heaven.
2- The vibes are rustic meets modern.
3- Craft beers and margaritas are coming soon.
Right now, TCB is serving lunch and dinner daily, and the full bar opening is in the works. Once the liquor license is approved, you can expect local craft brews, Mexican beers, and a full cocktail menu, including a cucumber jalapeño margarita. Don’t worry, it’s happening ASAP-ish.

The Menu
Authentic, fresh ingredients and tried-and-true cooking techniques are everything in the taco world. But the key is the shell itself. And these guys are doing it sooooo right. And yes, I’m speaking from experience. El Milagro tortillas are #everything. Who knew. You can seriously taste the richness of the corn with every bite, and they are just the right amount of crispy.
These guys have the basics down, while adding their own flair. The result? A menu with a beautiful blend of traditional and gourmet.
There’s something to be said about simple, but rightly so. The classics like beef, steak, and chicken are here as well as chorizo, pork belly, beef brisket, and vegetarian tacos.
But on the other hand, gourmet options are available for all the foodies out there! There’s everything from Honey Garlic Shrimp Tacos to Rib Eye Caprese tacos to Buffalo Chicken Tacos. Yum, yum, yum.
Plus, there’s an add-your-own toppings bar, so you can pile on all your favorite extras or keep it simple. Don’t skip the chips because the salsa, guac, and chorizo queso are all bomb.
Looking to eat healthy? You have options. Try a protein-packed, flavor-packed rice bowl or salad bowl.

The Story
The owners always wanted to open an authentic taco joint, and saw an opportunity at 6449 Transit. The rustic, but modern space is filled with reclaimed barn wood complemented by a beautiful Buffalo-themed mural. From the bar to the communal tables to the private tables, there’s plenty of seating.
Add TCB to your taco to-do list (that’s totally a thing) because we are predicting major success for these guys. Follow them on Facebook and Insta for more info.
