Brownies, and cake, and cookies, oh my! There’s a(nother) new truck in town, and she’s bringing dessert to the rodeo.
According to Big Suzie’s Little Bakery’s website, the food truck plans to launch in spring of 2015. Here we are, spring 2015, and it’s unclear whether they have yet to pop up on the streets. They have, however been seen serving their desserts at Larkin Square events on more than one occasion. So we say they are open and you should know about it.
The truck is cute, appropriately yellow and trimmed with a white picket fence, flowers and Suzie’s big smile at the window. (This window has shutters BTW.)
The owner Suzie, who was born and raised in Buffalo, has been serving dessert for 10 years and wants to share her twist on the kind of sweet comfort food you remember getting at Grandma’s house as a kid.
The menu is big but will change daily, and the truck may be offering anything from it at any given time.
On the list is everything from brownies, cookies (chocolate o’s, cut outs, etc.), and fruit pies (apple pie, seasonal crisp, blueberry pie, etc.) to cheesecake (chocolate, key lime, lemon) and cream pies (banana, chocolate, coconut, peanut butter, etc.). Suzie also encourages you to order Suzie’s Twosizes, one for now and one for later bundled in house.
On top of all this, Suzie makes custom, made to order cakes, pies and other baked goods out of her commercial kitchen.
