Opening weekend at The Great Pumpkin Farm is coming up quick, and it’s just the beginning of a full event lineup that’s pretty adult-friendly in our opinion.

Any time you visit the Witches Brew Bar, you’ll find all the most important beverages aka craft beer, wine, and specialty themed cocktails, plus on point spooky bar vibes. That’s reason enough to get us geared up to go.

As for major events, adult’s – listen up! Here’s what’s coming up in September and October in addition to a full lineup of live music.

 

 

1. Opening Weekend (Sept. 15-16)

Goodbye summer, hello fall. Pumpkin season is officially starting up, and there’s so much to see at the farm. Come explore what’s new this year. Most importantly, the bar’s new location is ready to serve you.

2. Weekend 2 (Sept. 21-23) + Oinktoberfest

Ready for round 2? Viva La Barbacoa! The second weekend brings the BBQ event of the season. Think three days of eating BBQ aka bring your appetite because 90+ teams come ready to compete.

3. Weekend 3 (Sept. 29-30) + Pumpkin Weigh-Off

The biggest pumpkin earns the biggest bucks. The first 1,000 lb. pumpkin was brought here back in 1996. The Great Pumpkin Farm will pay $10,000 for a world record breaking pumpkin brought to the weigh-off.

4. Smash & Blow Party (Friday, Oct. 5th)

If you’re wondering what the heck this is about, same. Here’s what you need to know – this is a super fun promotion with Shredd & Ragan, it’s free admission, the bar will be open, and there will be a band,  you can smash pumpkins with a Mallet and watch pumpkins of all sizes being blown up. 5. Weekend 4 (Oct. 6-8) + Pumpkin Drop

Ever see a 1,000-pound pumpkin drop from 100 feet in the air? Come Columbus Day, you sure can. Right here in Clarence.

6. Weekend 5 (Oct. 13-14) + Pie Eating

How much do you love pumpkin pie? Professional eaters love winning more. Last year’s world record was 48 pieces in 10 minutes! If you have competition-worthy eating skillz, sign yourself up.

7. Weekend 6 (Oct. 20-21) + Pumpkin Catapult

Ever see a life-size catapult in action? This is your chance. Local high school technology teams will be competing for cash prizes and trophies!

8. Weekend 7 (Oct. 27-28) + Costume Contest

Crazy cool costumes could earn you dollars. Super cool, right? There’s a kids-only competition and one for adults-only. Either way, you can walk away a little richer and a lot prouder.
