I don’t know about you, but hearing of a new premium homemade ice cream brand local to WNY grabs my attention every. single. time.

From Lake Effect and Main Street in the suburbs to Churn and Poutine and Cream in North Buffalo, homemade ice cream just hits different. Maybe it’s the creative, innovative flavors that usually come from the chefs behind each scoop that gets us salivating at the thought, or the creaminess that premium ice cream pretty much always has.

One thing is for sure, every city in America does not know how to do ice cream the way WNY does ice cream. And that’s a fact.

There’s another premium handmade ice cream brand to add to your to-try list, and it’s only sold out of Elm Street Bakery in East Aurora. Yummo, a new brand as of Spring 2020, features a small, ever changing variety of unique flavors like PB&J, Rose Lemonade, Dirty Chai, Ricotta Rhubarb Ripple, Coconut Cookie Dough, and more. 🤤  They even often offer a vegan flavor or two.

According to The Buffalo News, the Yummo brand was developed by 23-year-old Griffin Schultz, an Elm Street Bakery cook.

Pints of these exciting flavors are available through Elm Street Bakery’s takeout menu – call 716-652-4720 or order at
