With the first sign of warm weather in Western New York, our minds immediately turn to three must-haves for dining out: booze, brunch, and an outdoor patio. Bringing this highly sought after trio to Main Street in Williamsville, is the all new local craft beer destination —RationAles.

Beginning this project back in 2020, it has been a long time coming for RationAles, but the wait has seemed to pay off. Converting an old building in Williamsville into an elevated dining experience was the goal in mind. Now three years later, that goal has come to fruition with an updated kitchen, indoor dining space, and two-story patio over looking the village.

As the name hints, RationAles offers rations, i.e. food and ales, or as they describe it, “some pretty darn good liquid.”

Tapping into our region’s history surrounding craft beer, RationAles offers an impressive list of local brews from Big Ditch and Resurgence, to those among the greater WNY area like EBC and Big Inlet. In addition to beer, they also offer a wide variety of wine, cocktails, top shelf items, and non-alcoholic options.

“At RationAles we hope to take you on a tour of our local breweries without ever having to leave your bar stool.”

Beyond the drinks, RationAles is pairing their beers with a variety of comfort foods. You’ll find everything from small plates and loaded hot sandwiches to house-made soups and salads.

Called the “Funk’n Bruncheon,” RationAles offers Sunday brunch from 11am – 3pm. On the menu you’ll find a twist on your typical brunch with A Taste U Can See —sliced french toast casserole w/ confectioner sugar & pure maple syrup, Monti Cruncho —ham, egg, provolone, cinnamon sugar crust, maple syrup topping, and more. Pairings include mimosas, beermosas, prosecco, and Bloody Muchacho.

RationAles features plenty of bar and table seating but with the warm weather finally here to stay, the patio is sure to be the main draw for newcomers looking to check out the new space.
