Ok, you got us. When we said “new”, we meant new-ish.
Rec Room, a music venue currently unable to host it’s usual shows thanks to Covid, has launched a 2.0 version of itself fit for these coronatimes. Rec Room 2.0 consists of a weekly supper club series, brunch and nightlife venue of sorts.
The pre-covid music venue shifted gears when they started offering a pop-up take out menu in June. Once WNY’s phased opening allowed for eat-in service at restaurants, Rec Room made the move towards food service, offering a Supper Club Series every Saturday night.
Rec Room is now offering an enlarged patio space that spills into Chippewa now that the street has been closed to cars, allowing for additional outdoor seating and a unique vibe in the heart of Downtown Buffalo.
The new Supper Club Series is by reservation only (email email@example.com to get one) and offers a pre-set four course menu, unique table side cocktails, live musicians and DJs, and “interactive visuals”. The cost is $50 per person and parties up to 10 people can be accommodated.
Rec Room is also now open for bottle service with a food purchase on Saturdays starting at 10pm. Space is limited and customers must remain seated at tables while in the building and wearing masks on the way to and from their tables.
Plus, you can grab Sunday brunch with a side of live music. Rec Room’s new brunch menu includes a breakfast sandwich, blueberry french toast, spicy chicken rangoons, cauliflower tacos, Korean beef tacos, veggie rice bowl, and more of the like.
Friendly reminder to always respect the safety rules of the establishment and wear a mask to protect yourself and others while roaming about and to and from your table! Oh and tip your server.
