With work, school, life, or kids we don’t always have the time to wait for a delicious sit down meal with silverware and the works. That’s why a new local gourmet burger joint is strictly for on-the-go Western New Yorkers. Hey, they aim to please.
“It was brought about by the owner Joe Maurino. He had the idea to create a take-out only restaurant,” said Anthony Giangrosso, executive chef.
Stack Burger, located at 174 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca, promises to deliver a flavor of toppings and seasonings on your quarter pound burger that you won’t find anywhere else. Maurino and Giangrosso, good friends and culinary experts, have created a concept that gives you the delicious lunch or dinner you desire without the wait or fuss.
“If it takes me 10 minutes to get a gourmet burger out there, I must be really busy because I usually get them out there in six to seven minutes with fries,” said Anthony.
Here’s how it works: First you pick your stack – that is single ($4.50), double ($6.50) or tripple ($8.50). The base burger consists of a four ounce patty of ground chuck (or 3) with Cheddar, Swiss or American White Cheese, original ‘Stack’ sauce (gourmet Russian dressing), lettuce, tomato and a bun. But the size of your burger ultimately depends on how many toppings you want to ‘stack up’. Stack offers extras like Pesto ($0.40 extra), thick cut bacon ($1.20 extra) and Stack Chili ($0.40 extra).
“We have anything from grilled pineapple to jalapeños, bacon, you can put an egg on your burger. And I’m also going to be running weekly specials such as a grilled cheeseburger, a french onion burger, and a very spicy burger called ‘The Demon’.”
Burger sauces and dressings are all created in house and include an ancho chili mayo that has a smoky flavor and honey, so it’s smoky and sweet, and a garlic parmesan mayo that speaks for itself. The meal is also prepared with fresh cut fries that are made to order. Speaking of which, you gotta try Chef Tony’s Hot Fries served with blue cheese!
Stack burger also serves chopped salads with a special homemade Caesar dressing and marinated grilled chicken or grilled shrimp. Not to mention, fresh cut mixed veggie chips, a grilled chicken sandwich, and a crispy hot honey chicken sandwich that’s simply to die for.
“Everything tastes absolutely delicious and I’m very happy to be doing this same dream and be able to fulfill it with the guy I’ve known for 15 years,” said Anthony. “You can’t ask for anything better than that.”
Stack Burger is open Monday – Thursday from 11am – 9pm, Friday & Saturday from 11am – 10pm and closed on Sunday. Remember, aside from the one picnic table out front, Stack Burger is take out only.
