Discover the creative / techy world of engineering this February break – because why not?!
PSA: National Engineers Week starts this Sunday and to celebrate, WNY’s own Buffalo Museum of Science is hosting tons of unique activities for you and the kiddos to geek out over. Trust us, if you keep reading you’ll know exactly what we mean by “geek out”. #BYOjetpack
The fun-filled week ahead includes several days of family-friendly activities facilitated by local engineers and Museum staff starting on Feb. 19 until Feb. 25.
Special activities will take place from 11 am to 2:30 p.m every day during National Engineers Week. Plus, for the first time this year, the Buffalo Museum of Science is also celebrating Girls Engineering Day on February 23 – a national event encouraging girls to consider a career in engineering through engineering talks, engaging building opportunities, and design challenges. Which, I think we can all agree, is absolutely fantastic.

Some of the activities that caught our eye from the seriously long list of awesomeness are the Build Your Own Jetpack Class, the Lego Challenge, Marble Rollercoasters, Blue Print Drawing, and VR and Music – visitors get to experience virtual reality and sound equipment with Crosswater Digital, just to name a few.
Oh and did we mention, all activities are included with admission and free for members? For the full schedule of activities from Feb. 19 – Feb 25 go to sciencebuff.org!
