Nickel City Chef is a competition between two WNY chefs where they face off in two top of the line kitchens at Artisan Kitchens & Baths on Buffalo’s West Side. The chefs make 3 courses featuring a secret ingredient from a local business – similar to Iron Chef, but Western New York style. The idea is to showcase what the chefs can really do when pushing their culinary talents to the limit while featuring local farm foods at their best. Guests look on while enjoying light fare and beverages as the chefs compete for the Nickel City Chef title. NCC is produced by Christa Glennie Seychew of Feed Your Soul culinary productions. Links to online ticketing should be available at nickelcitychef.com on Jan. 2 starting at 10am. Hurry, they go fast. New this year will be a fifth Nickel City Chef, renowned Chef Edward Forster of Buffalo Proper and therefore a fifth show.
