2023 Update:

This business has closed and plans to transition to a new location with a new name this year.

Here’s the story of their opening in 2020

One thing Buffalonians love is pierogi. Put pierogi together with anything and WNY pretty much goes wild.

So naturally we’re obsessed with Simply Pierogi – the Polish Kitchen located in The Eastern Hills Mall. The fast-casual restaurant is part of the 3-in-1 restaurant setup under the Chrusciki Bakery brand along with Sto Lat Bar.

You may have heard that Chrusciki Bakery left their long standing spot at The Broadway Market due to decreased traffic over the years. They relocated to 4475 Transit Rd. (Suite 108) at the mall and decided to take a three-pronged approach to Polish food, drink, and baked goods. Under the same roof you’ll find all three concepts – Simply Pierogi, Chrusciki Bakery & Cafe, and Sto Lat Bar, a bar and restaurant serving shared plates and main dishes.

What to Expect at Simply Pierogi

In their own words, Simply Pierogi – Polish Kitchen is a “fast-casual restaurant concept serving traditional Polish cuisine in a modern-day format. The process for ordering simply entails walking through the front line as your food is prepared in front of you. 🥟

While creating your own Pierogi Bowl, you get to choose a type of pierogi, add a Polish protein, and add toppings like caramelized onions, bacon bits, and more. Think Chipotle-style, but with polish cuisine. It’s kinda like a pierogi dream come true TBH.

They also offer a Pierogi Hoagie with Kielbasa, Farmers Cheese Pierogi, Caramelized Onions, Kapusta and a house-made Horseradish Aioli on a toasted Hoagie roll and the The BFLO Pierogi Bowl with Potato & Onion Pierogi, Schnitzel, Mozzarella Cheese, Banana Peppers, Caramelized Onions, Crispy Fried Onions and housemade Buffalo Aioli.

If you’re looking for something to make at home, you can pick up Frozen Pierogi Packs and jarred Polish delicacies like red borscht concentrate horseradish with cranberries, Polish style mustard, honey horseradish mustard, beets with horseradish and cranberry preserves.

What’s the one thing that could make this whole set up better? A patio. Don’t worry – they have one.
