The newest addition to the Walden Galleria Mall brings a whole new world to the shopping center – a World of Beer – okay THE World of Beer. WOB opened in the last week of August and while it’s technically and seemingly a chain restaurant, something we don’t often cover on SOB, they’ve got a massive amount of beer, and a great reputation, and we figured it’s something you should know about. Frankly, if we were you, we’d want to know about it.

The new bar and restaurant offers 50 craft beers on tap (locals included) and over 500 beers “in the cooler”. They’re also known for their food menu that’s specifically “crafted to go perfectly with beer”. #yesplease

On the menu you’ll find “elevated comfort food” meant to be paired with beer in order to get the “ultimate craft tavern experience”. But of course, you don’t have to if that’s not your thing. They also have a very reasonably priced wine selection and craft cocktails like a Spanish G&T or a Rye Old Fashioned available. Did we mention their ridiculously fun collection of shots including the Irish Breakfast, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Cheesecake (all $7)? Yea. We know.

As far as the food menu goes Tavern Shares include Chimichurri Meatballs ($8), Southern Fried Pickles ($7.5), WOB Chicken Wings (5 for $8) and several more. Get Street Tacos ($7-10), Flatbreads, ($8-$13), Burgers and Sandwiches – hello Guinness Brat Sliders ($9) and Fresh Greens ($5 – $15) as well.

Wondering how in the heck you’re supposed to know which beer out of 550+ goes best with your meal? Because we were. Not to worry – each dish description includes a suggested beer pairing. Now THAT is what we like to see.

The focus on customer experience doesn’t appear to end with the menu tips either. Their website states, “And whether you’re a beer master or just beer curious, our insanely knowledgeable staff is here to guide you through every last pint, pour, and pairing. So c’mon. Let’s go. Because there’s no better place to go around the world, one sip at a time.”

There’s nothing we like more than learning a shit-ton from knowledgeable people while we’re out for a beer and a bite. Sign us up.
