Elmwood Village Pop-up Shop
We recently stumbled across a blog with some awesome recipes called Butter Block. After a little digging we learned that Butter Block is not only a blog, but a pop-up shop that happens to pop right here in Buffalo, NY! Their beautiful photos grabbed my attention immediately. Stunning pictures of food available locally tend to pique my curiosity.
Butter Block is a pop-up shop and a blog of all things delicious. They are selling their gorgeous (and probably delicious – we haven’t tasted anything yet) goodies out of The Farm Shop on the corner of Lexington and Ashland in the Elmwood Village on Fridays during Coffee Hour and Saturday mornings. A glance at the blog gives you an idea of the mouth-watering display of treats they’ve offered at recent pop-ups including croissants, quinoa granola, homemade Oreos (!) and pumpkin seed brittle.
“Every week we put up what we’ll have on our Facebook page,” Colleen and Ginny of Butter Block told us recently. “We are also offering pies and treats for Thanksgiving to be ordered (by Nov. 20) and picked up (on Nov. 26th at The Farm Shop), in our Thanksgiving Last Course sale.” Think Heirloom Pumpkin Pie, Poached Pear & Almond Tart and Ginger Creme Anglaise, fresh ginger infused into a rich custard sauce.
“Right now, we are so “young” and getting our legs under us, so we’re taking it all one day at a time and seeing where this adventure takes us!” explained the owners of the pop-up shop.
