Channel your inner artist and add some flare to a night out by signing up for a Paint on Tap class. Paint on Tap started the trend here in Buffalo by adding a unique spin on the average bar.  This 2 hour session guides you step-by-step through the painting, teaching you artistic skills along the way, while you and your friends enjoy the wine or beer of your choice.  You don’t need to be a professional to create a beautiful canvas painting, although some may start to think they fit the bill after a glass or two.

The picture you paint is based on the date you choose, see calendar here. The entire class paints the same picture.  The patient and helpful instructors, on top of guiding you through the painting, walk around to give you tips and suggestions to improve your painting.

Paint on Tap offers a wide variety of options to fit everyone’s personality.  They have quite a few Buffalo paintings, such as “Buffalo City Lights,” “Delaware Park,” “Buffalo By Air,” and “Buffalo Grain Elevators.”  You can try a Paint on Tap class as an inventive date night by signing up for one of their specific “Date Night” classes like, “Whole Latte Love.”

The entire experience from start to finish was lovely. You walk into Paint on Tap’s quaint studio, and are immediately greeted by cheerful staff that instructs you to take an apron and find a seat.  Before the class even began, my sister and I were laughing and drinking with the other girls enrolled in the class at our table.  The class was fun and casual with “dry breaks” where ironically, people would grab another drink. You have plenty of time to perfect your painting and the step-by-step instructions were incredibly helpful.  For my first class I painted “Buffalo City Lights” which is now proudly mounted on my wall.  We had such a great experience that my sister and I already signed up for our next class with another friend in July.
