If you’re a WNY local, then you know that there is nothing more amazing than biting into a fresh Paula’s donut. And we mean that. Their donuts are soft, flavorful and contain just the right amount of sweetness. On special occasions, we get extra lucky because Paula’s releases some pretty unique flavors that make Buffalonians go a little wild.
If you recall, last year, Paula’s released a cannoli donut that raised thousands of dollars for Hospice Buffalo. This year, Paula’s wanted to make a come back by creating another unique donut in hopes to get our community to raise more money for an amazing cause.
So what’s the donut? Paula’s created a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Donut to benefit Hospice Buffalo. I know, we’re still drooling over this donut! Half of the sales will be donated, and the donut sale will also coincide with Hospice Buffalo’s spring flower bouquet sale, which is their largest fundraiser. Flowers and donuts? Now that’s a dynamic duo.
Back to the donut: These donuts that are topped with chocolate frosting, sprinkled with chocolate chips and finished with a dollop of chocolate chip cookie dough hit Paula’s Donuts refrigerators on March 2nd! We decided to give them a taste and man is this donut a heavenly creation. The ratio of donut to topping is just perfect with the chocolate chips giving just the right amount of crunch. The lines have started building up for this creation so you’re going to want to snag a box (or two) right away because they are flying off the shelf!
