Sit back, sip your wine, and enjoy the show. The intimate atmosphere at PAUSA is relaxed and welcoming. This Art House in Allentown is the perfect gathering place for all types of creatives in the historic district of Allentown. Musicians, visual artists, and writers alike come together here for a truly unique live music experience. There’s a reason why this venue is recognized again and again for being one of the best live music venues in all of Buffalo. Privately owned and managed by Cuban violinist/ entrepreneur Lázara Martínez, PAUSA welcomes its patrons and performers as she will welcome them in her private home, with a warm smile that you cannot forget.

The sights, the sounds, and the energy here will make you feel right at home. The space is intentionally small to give the audience the opportunity to intermingle with the performers and each other, before, during intermissions and after the show. The attention to detail shows not only in the music programing ranging from jazz, funk, fusion, classical, gypsy and world but also in the musicality of the space. Their interesting and unique selection of craft beers, wines, tapas and panini menu is carefully selected to enhance the experience.

The most attractive part of the whole experience while visiting PAUSA is the fact that patrons come to listen to the music, rather than having music as a background. Lázara cordially asks the patrons to remain quiet for the duration of each set – 45 min max – and long intermissions allow for musicians and patrons to intermingle. PAUSA quickly became a favorite spot for musicians who appreciate the attention and respect that visitors and regulars alike pay to their performances.

BTWs the food is mostly locally sourced from family shops like Guercio’s and Luigi’s Bakery. You can order everything at the bar and they will bring your food back to your table, just in time for the show.
