Pita Gourmet is a local restaurant with a special story. A family story.

Long before the business was born, there were family dinners at grandma’s place. The story begins back in the 1970s when Pita Gourmet’s owners’ grandparents emigrated from Lebanon to call Buffalo home.

Grandma, also known as Teta Lulu, expressed her love through food. Her pita bread was treasured by her family and later became the catalyst for the restaurant. With a mix of Teta Lulu’s pita bread and Samira Mahfouz’s (the owners’ mom) Mediteranean-American recipes, Pita Gourmet was born.

From humble beginnings in 2005 at the Niagara Falls Outlet Mall to now three locations, the family tradition lives on through Pita Gourmet. Their menu is full of fresh, flavorful options, here’s a few items you need to try when you visit.
