Canalside has a brand new dining option, and it involves pods. After months and months of delays at the new location Pizza Plant has finally opened in Canalside at 125 Main Street right near all of the action.
After having to close their second location in the Tony Walker Plaza in Williamsville in October, the new location provides another second opportunity to indulge in the Pizza Plant specialty – pods. A pod is Pizza Plant’s version of a calzone and they come in all kinds of flavors from Cajun and Chicken Pesto to  Sicilian Steak, Wingy Dingy, and Fajita among several others.

The new location has the same delicious pizza/pod/salad menu and stacked beer list as the original location on Transit Road which will remain open going forward. They’ve got 30 taps at the new place and according to The News at least five of those will be reserved for local brews. Also, did you know Pizza Plant has an app? It’s updated in real time to tell you what’s on tap. So that’s interesting.

Pizza Plant is now officially open for lunch and dinner. Hours are Monday – Thursday 11am – 11pm, Friday and Saturday 11am-midnight, and Sunday 11am – 10pm.
