During these uncertain times, we have to come together to support local businesses throughout the community, especially with the Easter holiday coming up. If you celebrate Easter, the kiddos will be expecting the Easter Bunny to still pull through despite Covid-19. With that being said, you’ll need to be prepared to make that basket epic! Chocolate makes everything better and there’s plenty of places still offering curbside pick up and delivery all over WNY. This way, you can help local businesses and have a safe holiday at the same time.
In no particular order, here’s where you can find all the goodies to making the perfect Easter basket:

The Sweet Whisk is offering smashable chocolate eggs to make Easter extra special! They are even putting golden tickets in certain eggs that are redeemable for a free box of their beautifully colored handmade chocolate bonbons. Their bonbons are made with premium French chocolate from Valrhona. For a boozy treat, The Sweet Whisk offers a box made with local Buffalo wineries and distilleries! Local favorites like Chateau Buffalo 999 wine, Buffalo Distilling One Foot Cock Krupnik, and Black Button Bourbon Cream are among those included. They also have plenty of chocolate bars like s’more’s or fruity pebbles and so much more! Free delivery is offered within a 5 mile radius of the shop for orders $25. If you’re outside of the 5 mile radius, they are still offering delivery but the customer must contact them for a quote. After that, rate shipping is available and orders can be placed through their website.

Antoinettes has more than just delicious milkshakes. For Easter, you can pick up chocolate molds of eggs and bunnies of different shapes and sizes. Antoinette’s also has sweet miniatures, white chocolate, and even different sized pre-made baskets with bunny molds, suckers, eggs, and other candies. You prepay on your pick up order and enter at the ice cream entrance along French Road on the north side of the building. Just call when you arrive, and they will open the door and place your order inside safely.

The ambience at Parkside is so unique. It makes you feel like you stepped back in time to the 50s. Since we need to continue doing our part social distancing, the Easter tradition will continue 6 feet apart with Parkside offering online shipping and pick up options. They’re offering chocolates and candies to make your baskets the most amazing it can be. In addition to that, they have a selection of pre-made baskets to make your Easter experience even easier. These baskets are filled with things like milk chocolate pretzel rods, marshmallow eggs, jelly beans, bunnies, lollipops, and more! Home of my all-time favorite cherry cordials in the entire city, Alethea’s is also offering curbside delivery to make your shopping experience safe this year. Not only are they offering a pick up option, but they’re also offering shipping available at check out. They have delicious gourmet chocolates, foiled chocolate lollipops, and even sponge candy buffaloes! Which are almost too adorable to eat. Almost. They make Easter baskets easy with their bunny face pops, chocolate bunny ears, chocolate lambs, eggs, and even Easter basket boxes that you can just simply transfer into a basket or leave in the decorative box!
5. Sweet Jenny’s Chocolates & Ice Cream

Sweet Jenny’s offers the best French chocolate truffles that are so creamy and smooth. Along with the truffles, they offer chocolate molds for kids, and let’s be serious adults, like their chocolate unicorns or their chocolate baby Yoda’s! If they’re into sports, you can get molds of footballs, baseballs, soccer balls, and even bunnies playing sports in addition to some of their other fun cut outs and chocolates. They have chocolate covered peeps, jellybeans, foil chocolates, and so much more that you can purchase for pick up through their website. They have a form listed on their Facebook page so you can call in your order and pay online. Just give them a call when you’ve arrived for pick up, pop your trunk, and they’ll bring it out to you. With a variety of locations around town, Watson’s has all areas covered to get you some of the best candy in the city for the holiday. They’re offering a pick up option, but you can also feel free to order online. Of course, they have the usual Easter bunny chocolate molds, but they have a giant 1 lb. Easter bunny pack with a jellybean basket and a carrot. They have delicious, creamy Easter peanut butter minuettes, along with chocolate bunny ears, peanut butter eggs, Easter cream eggs, chocolate dipped peeps, marshmallow eggs, jellybeans, candies and so much more to fill the baskets!

Fowlers has been making chocolate since 1910. To keep the tradition of delivering chocolate to Buffalonians for over a century, they’re offering shipping for online orders and curbside pick up. They have boxes decorated for Easter containing their famous sponge candy. They also have Easter baskets completely put together made up of a huge chocolate bunny, miniatures, jellybeans, an Easter chocolate bar, foiled eggs, and more. I highly recommend the peanut butter rabbits, they’re not only amazing tasting but, adorable as well!

Shameless plug, Platter’s has some of the most amazing chocolate and coffee. They use their hot fudge that they use on their ice cream to make their orange sponge candy lattes and they are just incredible and calorie free! OK, it’s possible one of those things was true and one was a lie. They’re offering delicious Easter candy like their chocolate Easter flats, jellybeans, sponge candy, bunnies, foil eggs, orange chocolate eggs, their milk carton chocolate eggs, and even a chocolate Easter cross. Platters is offering curbside pick up for online orders. You can choose curbside pick up as your shipping method when you purchase your items online. The famous country store on Grand Island selling your favorite home decor and knickknacks, in addition to loads of your favorite 5 & 10 candies is actually still open. But, for those of you not comfortable with that option, they also have online shopping available! They have a selection of chocolate bunnies with baskets holding jelly beans. There’s orange milk and dark chocolate along with a variety of chocolate bunnies and molds in all different shapes and sizes. They have plenty of candies and fun basket stuffers, too!
