3 Places to Cozy up in a Heated Igloo Downtown

Buffalo has a ton of options for outdoor dining in the summer, but when it comes to the  winter months, you’re forced inside to avoid the chilly temps. Unless of course, you’re into outdoor winter activities, in that case, carry on. For others who would like to admire snowy Buffalo without having to experience it,  roll in the heated igloo. Yes, thanks to some places downtown, you can enjoy being close to the outdoors without the freezing part that comes with being outside. We rounded up all the igloos in the area bringing the bubble oasis to Buffalo. Here’s how you can book one and what’s included:

1. Tappo Restaurant (Ellicott St.)

Situated on the roof of Tappo restaurant downtown with panoramic views of the city, these igloos need to be on your winter bucket list. Gather eight of your friends for dinner. The basic package includes a choice of two bottles of wine, a warm beverage (like mulled wine or spiked hot cider), a choice of a tossed or caesar salad, a choice of two entrees and dessert platter. Packages range from $375-$600 with add-ons as well.

2. Igloos at the Ice (Canalside)

130 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14203

Canalside is upping their game this year with igloos to get cozy in while enjoying you time at the ice. Rentals are 90 minutes long and cost $149 (they fit up to 8 people). The rental includes seating for 8, admission and skate rentals, the first round of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages, and complimentary hot chocolate. You can also add on things like cans of Labatt Blue, mini bottles of wine, or pop for an additional charge.

3. Tappo Pizza (Chandler Street)

Tappo brought its popular winter attraction to North Buffalo with the addition of Igloos to Tappo Pizza on Chandler Street! The rental is $250 for 8 people for 2 hours. You choose a salad, any four pizza flavors, and choice of wings. The rental also includes a hot drink and two pitchers of Thin Man beer.
