Bica e Vinho, nestled right next to a waterfall in East Aurora, is a wine and coffee bar bringing fresh Portuguese cuisine and flare to East Aurora.
The co-owners, married duo Lisa DeCarlo and Dan Buscaglia, were inspired by Portuguese culture and niche coffee and wine industry. They feature exclusive Portuguese blends of wine, offered at a low price compared to most wine bars in the area.
Coffee is more of an art in Portugal, so Bica e Vinho is trying to bring that art to Western New York. With different Portuguese espresso drinks, the barista takes their time to craft the perfect mix of espresso, milk, and delicious froth.
The menu sounds pretty mouth-watering as well. Some highlights include cod cakes, grilled chourico Portuguese sausage, shared plates and elaborate cheese boards. They also boast an impressive pairing menu so you can taste the ideal wine for the ideal cheese, a match made in heaven.
It’s not just the food and beverage that reels people into Bica e Vinho, it’s also the ambiance.
With a classy and sophisticated interior, complete with a wall full of wine and marble countertops, this is the perfect restaurant and wine bar to hang out in all year long. For the summer, however, you will definitely want to sit out on the patio. The large, relaxing patio overlooks a seriously beautiful view of Cazenovia Creek Falls, has comfy furniture, and live music. This is an absolute hidden gem in the southtowns, so don’t wait to check it out.
