Hertel Ave is getting a new cafe in summer 2018 and as you might have guessed based on the title of this article, it involves furry friends. That’s right, a Cat Cafe is coming to town and it’s ‘bout to be a purrrrr-ty cool place to sip, munch, and chill – with cats. Care to learn more about Purrfect Cat Cafe? Paw-lease, let me explain.

Okay, so as far as anyone in the 716 can remember, Buffalo has never seen a cat cafe before. They’re pretty popular in Europe, Japan, and other major cities across the US, so we’re feeling pretty #blessed to be getting one in a growing area like North Buffalo.

All Your Cat Cafe Questions Answered:

Finally, the place all you hungry and thirsty cat-lovers have been waiting for. The trendy animal-centric restaurant will be divided into 2 sections, allowing guests to sit and relax with Purrfect Cat Cafe cat-residents on one side (aka the Cat Lounge) and enjoy food and drink on the other. The best part? Purrfect Cafe and Gallery is working with Ten Lives Club, a cat rescue organization out of Blasdell, NY to provide homes to adoptable furbabies. Meaning there will be a few cats available to adopt as well as events that will give other opportunities to own a furry little friend in need of a home.

In addition to cats-galore, Purrfect Cafe will serve food, including options for diners with specific diets. Aside from the assortment of coffee drinks, smoothies, beer, and wine, guests will have a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free meals to choose from, plus small plates, appetizers, soups, salads, paninis, wraps, sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, baked goods and deserts.

Wondering where the “gallery” part comes in? Local artists are invited to display and sell their work, from wall decor, to small furniture, jewelry, handbags, live music, DIY classes, and more. If you are interested in getting involved,  email the shop.
