Buffalo Beer Week, Step Out Buffalo

Beer Fest Meets Outer Harbor

What could be better than a bunch of Buffalo’s best craft brewers getting together on the waterfront for a giant beer festival? Right – not much. Don’t worry, there will be food too. Saturday June 18th the Buffalo Brewers Festival finds a new home at the Outer Harbor which is, in our humble opinion, absolutely fantastic.
The current forecast is Sunny and 80 with a slight breeze and a strong chance of fun. ¬†We’re not licensed meteorologists so there’s an actual chance this is accurate. ūüėČ ¬†

What to Expect

Sure, the Brewers Fest is about beer, but it’s also a celebration of Buffalo. Local farmers, chefs, and¬†food trucks will also be showing off their talents. For example, The Whole Hog food truck will be roasting a T-Meadow Hog ¬†(yippee!), Oshun will be serving seafood, Gourm Asian Bistro will be doing their thing, and The Cheesy Chick and Frank‚Äôs Gourmet Hot Dogs will be joining the festivities among others. Plus there will be vendors selling really cool¬†beer stuff, the BNBA‚Äôs Buffalo Beer League, WNY Brews podcast, and other local media will be on hand to add to the fun. In additional to the Meet the Brewers Tent (more on that in a minute), new this year will be special feature tents including a NYS Cider Tent, a¬†Farm to Pint tent, and an Ontario Beer Tent tent. The full beer list can be found at!
Sure, it’s all fun and games, but let’s not forget about the main event Рthe beer. First and foremost all your local favs like 12 Gates, Big Ditch, CBW, Hamburg, Resurgence, Flying Bison etc. will be there. (See full list below!)

Meet the Brewers Cheese Pairing

This year there will be a single Meet the Brewers session, an interactive taste experience with five local brewers paired with the cheeses of Vermont Farmstead.  Local cheese purveyor Michelle Stevens, of Buffalo Cheese Traders along with the cheesemakers from Vermont Farmstead will present a collaborative cheese & beer pairing between the brewers and the cheesemaker. From what we’ve heard, this is gearing up to be a mind bending taste sensation that will convince even the most dubious of beer drinkers that beer pairs great with everything Рduh. You DO NOT want to miss this.
