Make a difference one step at a time. Every year more than 600 communities across the nation come together for the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research, including five right here in our own backyard.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is about coming together and fighting to end a terrible disease that touches so many lives. Every year in Western New York’s eight counties alone, Alzheimer’s impacts almost a quarter of a million people. You probably know someone who is facing this challenge right now.
Did you know Alzheimer’s disease cannot be prevented? It can’t be slowed. And there is no cure.

The good news is you can help make a difference. Buffalo, we can make a difference.
Teamwork makes the dream work. As the city of good neighbors, helping our community is very near and dear to our heart. And that’s what this walk is all about. Every participant, every dollar, and every step counts.
Walking for this cause is about more than raising money, it’s about raising awareness. Plus, it’s just fun. Building a team is an excuse to get all the important people in your life together for a day.

Getting involved is easy as 1, 2, 3. Choose a location, register, and start raising funds. There are 5 chances to participate in our region. Remember, every step counts toward a greater cause.
The most important part is to remember to ask. You really never know, until you try. Get social and tell your story. You can even track your fundraising progress right on the walk’s mobile app.
Friendly competition for a cause is the best kind of competition. Once your team sets a goal, raise, raise, and raise some more. We’re all in this together, and every dollar can make a difference.
Challenge accepted. Walks are happening in Buffalo, Olean, Dunkirk, Batavia, and Lewiston. Take the first step today — we’re right behind you!
