Good news Southtowners, there’s another farmer’s / artisan market in your midst and it comes at just the right time of the week (AKA when you’ve run out of dinner ideas), every week. Starting at the end of May, the Orchard Park Farmer’s & Artisan’s Market began popping up in the Orchard Fresh lot on Thursdays from 3-7pm. And the best part is, you can find them there until October 6th!
The brand new market, brought to you by our friends at My Buffalo Shirt and Fetch Dog Treats, boasts the best that WNY has to offer in terms of farms, produce, and the usual farmer’s market goodies. But these guys are going above and beyond to present a whole host of goods beyond the edible variety by including a long list of juried artisans. These offerings make this market unlike any other weekly farmer’s market currently held in the Southtowns.
“We were able to lock in some of this regions finest farmers and artisans to showcase their amazing locally grown and produced products,” said John Griveas of Fetch Gourmet Dog Treats. “Having a commitment from vendors like Plato Dale, Dukes Donuts, and Public Espresso & Coffee is no small feat and not only adds to the excitement of the market, but reinforces our belief that this is something that Orchard Park has been missing and truly wants.” #amentothat Other weekly vendors include 1801 Handcrafted – handmade candles and signs, Ginametrical – locally made greeting cards and stationary, Cedars Bakery, Rusty Nickel Brewery, Childs Blueberries, and lots more including occasional guest vendors.

The market is clearly meant to be more than just a quick stop for local produce on your way into the super market. The fact that the Farmer’s and Artisan’s Market will offer shoppers the chance to grab dinner from rotating local food trucks and pop ups like Lomo Lomo, Lloyd Taco Truck, and Wayno’s BBQ, all of which are the absolute truth takes this weekly event to the next level IMO. Head to Orchard Park Farmer’s & Artisan’s Market’s Facebook page and Instagram to stay up to date on who will be in attendance when. Plus, look out for special theme nights like First Responders Night and Kids night occurring throughout the summer!
