If you love shopping local as much as we do, you’ll be thrilled to hear Queen City Pop-Up is backkkk! Supporting local retail is the Buffalonian way (aka the best way), and round four of Queen City Pop Up is welcoming three awesome local retailers to Main Street.

Baskets by Ms. Regina, Najah Sauces, and Ten Thousand Villages will be joining the local scene with artisan crafts, custom baskets, handmade jewelry, and specialty sauces. Did someone say, gift-spiration? (Christmas is only 5 months away, but who’s counting?)

Queen City Pop-Up launched in 2014 as downtown’s first pop-up retail program with a very specific goal in mind: encouraging retail activity along Main Street.

Launching a small business is no small endeavor, and we give all our local businesses major props for taking the leap. The beauty of Queen City Pop-Up is retailers are given a risk-free trial run. Yes, that means testing out the downtown marketplace for free.

For shoppers, this means they get a chance to experience new retailers coming to town! For Buffalo, this means less empty storefronts. So, it’s a win for everyone.

Many past participants have found success because of this small business initiative. Businesses have reported sales increases of over 50% and exposure to a much broader customer base. This short-term trial period has led many of them to open permanent locations on Main Street. Local businesses for the win!

Brisbane Realty Associates, LLC is sponsoring the retail space for the 2017 Spring Edition Queen City Pop-Up participants. Thanks, guys!

Proposals were reviewed in March to select the local retailers for this year’s program. FYI- Small business owners keep this in mind for later this year.

Queen City Pop-Up: 2017 Spring Edition runs through September 1, 2017. Store hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from noon – 4:00 p.m.

Main Street is the place to be for local retailers and shoppers, so head over there and shop local!
