Silo City
How about a day of Buffalo history sprinkled with food, drink, music and merriment. Yes I said merriment – as in “cheerful or joyful gaiety; mirth; hilarity; laughter”.
Silo City Tapped Again will be an awesome day at Silo City with music by Heard of Buffalo, Funktional Flow, and Black Rock Zydeco on Saturday Sept. 3 from 3:00-11:00 pm.
They’ll have ten taps flowing with local favs like Hamburg Brewing, 12 Gates Brewing, Genesee Brewhouse, and McKenzies Hard Cider, plus wine selections from Ten Thousand Vines.
Naturally, you’re gonna get hungry and you’re in luck because they’ll have provisions on hand from the likes of Amy’s Food Truck, Mattie’s, Cheesy Chick, Lomo Lomo, and House of Munch.

While you’re sipping on beers and catching some tunes you can check out local vendors on site selling handmade and unique gifts. Expect Speakeasy Works and Henna Buffalo to name a couple.
My favorite part is touring the silos – for FREE – with local tour experts from Explore Buffalo. If you haven’t visited a silo you can hardly call yourself a Buffalonian. Not only are they cool but they’re a key piece of Buffalo history. Silo City is comprised of the Perot Elevator/American Malting Elevator/Genesee Brewing Elevator; the American/Rusell-Miller/Peavey Elevator; and the Marine “A” Elevator). Tours will run on the half-hours from 4pm-8pm.
My second favorite part is the price – $5 – what? They’re practically paying you to show up. Get more info on their Facebook page. Silo City is located at 100 Silo City Row off Ohio Street near the Ganson corner just south of the Ohio Street bridge. Gates open at 3:00 pm.
