Have you heard? Due to Covid-19, we’ve temporarily changed our motto to “Stay In, Buffalo”.  And for the foreseeable future we will be posting content that shares how our community can continue to support local businesses while adhering to guidelines set by the CDC.

Great news! Reddy Bikeshare is back for another season and is offering an annual pass for just $1 during the month of April. Reddy Bikeshare offers bicycle hubs where you can grab a bike all across Buffalo and Niagara Falls, making it easy to explore and get where you need to go. An Annual Pass allows you to rent a bike at just $0.01 / minute. that’s $0.60 / hour, you guys. Get it together and get this pass, NOW!

During the COVID-19 crisis, Reddy Bikeshare is taking all sorts of precautions to make sure everyone using the service stays safe. Check out their Facebook post from April 6, 2020 to hear all about their efforts, plus the huge deal they are offering on annual passes.

“To Reddy Bikeshare Riders and the Buffalo Niagara Community: we hope you are all handling this challenging time as best you can and we want to let you know that we’ve been monitoring the COVID-19 situation as it continues to evolve and we have some updates and information for you.

Reddy Bikeshare is considered an essential service under Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s “New York on PAUSE” executive order. We believe that bikes are more important than ever right now as a form of essential transportation as well as a healthy and mindful distraction for everyone. We are taking every possible precaution available to us as bikes are rolling out this week. Below are some announcements regarding the Spring re-opening and precautions we are taking:

Our Fleet Team has increased bike cleaning and sanitation procedures on frequently touched surfaces and are also wearing gloves and facial covers as they clean and perform maintenance. We have reduced the number of bikes typically available in our fleet in order to more effectively manage the cleaning process.

We encourage riders to do their part to stay safe and healthy by providing personal cleaning and disinfecting measures before and after a ride. Follow Centers For Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.

We have hand sanitizers available courtesy of Independent Health. Each bike is equipped with hand sanitizer for use before and after your trip. Complimentary sanitizer will also be made available at certain stations while supplies last. Pictured here is our kiosk at the Amtrak Station in Niagara Falls.

Annual passes are now available for $1.00. We believe we need to unite as a community in order to support one another at this time, and we believe everyone should have access to safe and affordable transportation options. $1.00 annual passes will be available through the end of April.

We are actively looking for other ways to help our community, so please contact us for any delivery-related needs or for any other ideas you may have.

Stay safe, be well, and don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions. Until we can all ride together again, let’s ride this out together. ❤️”
