Local Restaurant Week (LRW) is just around the corner (Oct. 19 – Oct. 25), so now is the time to get a jump on the crowds. Don’t be the poor sucker with your nose pressed up against the window looking in on your buds dining in splendor for $20.15 – SAD! Aroma on Bryant
307 Bryant Street in Buffalo / 716-881-7592 / LRW Menu / Modern Italian
Tucked away on Bryant just off Elmwood this village favorite serves up some of the best, most authentic Italian in Buffalo. An active bar crowd and plenty of options make this a LRW must-do if you haven’t been lately. Read our review.
Bourbon and Butter

Located in Hotel Lafeyette this has quickly become one of our favs in all of WNY. Gone is the formal Mike A’s, replaced by this consumer friendly, casually elegant beaut. Chef/owner Adam Goetz just returned from the honor of cooking at the James Beard house – LRW should be a snap. The food is always great and the service (Adam’s wife/partner Jennifer runs the front) is as pleasant as can be. If you are looking for a gratifying lunch, scrumptious brunch, delicious dinner, or a family friendly dining experience, CRaVing’s eclectically modern yet comfortable and inviting venue will fulfill your needs. Daniel’s has been a favorite of the southtowns for decades. This is intimate dining at its best. Excellent service and consistently superior dishes make this an outstanding LRW pick. Read more from SOB.
E.B. Green’s Steakhouse
2 Fountain Plaza, Buffalo / 716-855-4870 / LRW Menu / Steakhouse
A real steakhouse feel with richly paneled mahogany walls and plush red carpet, the whole dining room glowing with polished brass and soft lighting. They are offering a nice selection for LRW with three price levels, and most nights you can enjoy the jazz-age sounds of pianist Jackie Jocko.
Red Snapper at Oshun / Step Out Buffalo
5 E. Huron Street, Buffalo / 716-848-4500 / LRW Menu / Seafood
Oshun is another of the city’s new, great dining experiences. Contemporary seafood house/oyster bar, serving various size plates always with an interesting slant – located in the heart of downtown Buffalo. Read our review.

New Orleans inspired, Shango Bistro and Wine Bar is the sister restaurant to Oshun downtown. Located near UB South this unassuming spot offers comfort galore. Food, wine and beer selections are among the best in town. Read our review.
Viking Lobster Company

Considered by many to be among the best seafood in Buffalo. In truth we haven’t been there yet, but we know from experience it is hard to get a reservation – always a good sign. Heads up – they are CASH ONLY, BYOB, and require reservations.
Webster’s Bistro & Bar
102 Webster Street, North Tonawanda / 716-264-4314 / LRW Menu / French
A lovely little bistro serving top notch French cuisine. If you’re a moule fan you need to check this out THIS WEEK. If not try anything else and we’re sure you’ll be happy. Be sure to save room for the Beignets. Read our review.
