It’s always (meaning 90% of the time) fun to look back and see everything that’s happened in the past 12 months. Honestly, it feels more like years have gone by since Fresh Catch Poke graced us with their beautiful branding and catchy concept. Honestly, how did we live before easy access to takeout poke bowls?
Anyway, one of our favorite ways to measure time gone by is in restaurants opened. It’s a wonderful metric that isn’t very serious (get outta here with your financial and health goals) and makes for pretty delicious results. Plus, we love seeing how far Western New York has come in just one year.
Also, can we all agree that it’s wild how crazy-dependent we become on these new places in such a short period of time? I mean would there even BE an Instagram if Misuta Chows didn’t open? Did salads even EXIST before Prima?

Throughout this list you may find the occasional bakery or bar and you might think to yourself, this isn’t a restaurant Step Out Buffalo. Some of you might even take precious time out of your day to @ us all over the damn place, pounding those thumbs into the phone and YELLING in ALL CAPS about it. Please, resist the urge. We know. And we don’t care.
Disclaimer: These articles were written at the time of the restaurant’s opening – which means things may have slightly changed since then. We highly recommend checking the establishment’s website/Facebook/Instagram for the most up-to-date hours and menus.
