Dobutsu, (pronounced doe-boot-sue) is a new casual pacific fare restaurant in the beautiful 500 Seneca building in downtown Buffalo, NY. Dobutsu specializes in the cuisine of the American and Asian Pacific region, highlighted by globally sourced fresh seafood and shellfish programs, traditional noodle dishes, Hawaiian poke and rice bowls, fresh coastal produce salads and vegetable preparations, and a vast amount of street food interpretation small plates.
Our beverage program supports our identity with a library of whiskey and light spirits from around the world, including shochu, awamori, sake and Japanese whisky. Scratch classic and original cocktails are presented with the technique, precision, balance and humility we are known for at our sister restaurant, Toutant. Draft and packaged beer offerings focus on local and craft examples of quality. An impeccably curated wine program including global old world and new world selections, with focus on cuisine specific pairings, is implemented with education by our own Certified Sommelier.
