SOB Says: You may have heard that Nickel City Cheese & Mercantile has moved (from Elmwood Ave) into a new space, for them, which was the old space for Martin Cooks – the historic Horsefeathers building. (Martin is said to be opening a restaurant on Niagara in September and another this fall on Genesee near Roosevelt Square – stay tuned.) What you might not have heard is the move is part of a start up restaurant Lait Cru Brasserie. Lait Cru Brasserie and Nickel City Cheese share the space and common ownership – Jill Gedra Forster.
