Dobutsu, no matter how you pronounce it, comes out sounding like "yummmm!" Chef/owner James Roberts has that unique combination of training, talent and creativity that works in all walks of life. The food from start to finish is "innovative and delicious". We LOVE the daily change up on their steamed bun appetizer (the official food of SOB). The menu is heavily Asian influenced and long on seafood, but do not overlook the steak and pork chop if they are available. The restaurant decor is modern, "fresh" and comfortable. The fact that they have a beautiful, full-sized bar, great cocktails, and a nice beer selection really puts this place on the top of everyone's list in WNY.

Walking into Roost, you might doubt that you’re in Buffalo, or on Niagara St. You’re reminded of the raw beauty of our post-industrial city and, seriously, how f*%^ing cool Buffalo is becoming through these developments in areas that were abandoned for years. Your fellow bougies are already sitting at their tables getting day drunk, and the servers and cooks are hustling around like our badass restaurant folk do in this city of movers and shakers. All that is reason alone to visit Roost. And then there's the food.

SEAR is a modern steakhouse situated on the first floor of the Avant (Embassy Suites Hotel). The relaxed, upscale environs are sophisticated yet comfortable. They offer a bar scene with a great vibe, a robust wine list and an innovative menu. We love the salads, the sliders, Lobster Mac and, of course, the steaks.

The bar-restaurant has a “big city” feel to it, with its high ceilings, large lounge area, minimalist artwork, modern furnishings, and open kitchen. It’s a grand stage, to be sure. The perfect spot to relax with a beverage and people watch the hotel clientele or indulge in a great meal- breakfast, lunch or dinner. The menu is best described as New American with a Buffalo flair.

Located right in the center of Pegulaville overlooking Canalside you can't get more convenient if you're catching the Sabres or anything else at KeyBank Center and the Harbor Center. This is a cozy spot with a nice bar and outstanding views. The menu isn't long, but the options are well thought out.

Conventiently located in the heart of downtown Buffalo, NY, adjacent to Canalside, William K's is one of Buffalo's premier dining destinations. William K's Restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that compliments our view of Buffalo's greatest assets- our view.

Buffalo Chophouse may not have been Buffalo's first steakhouse, but there are few oldies left that compare. Reports of long waits at the bar before dinner (with a res) are probably exaggerated but give yourself some room. The decor and food scream "bring the beef".
