Downtown Buffalo will soon welcome a new taproom by Southern Tier Brewing Company!

Buffalo has been one of Southern Tier’s top markets ever since they opened their doors in 2002, so having a physical presence here was always on their wishlist. Now, it’s finally happening!

Southern Tier Brewing started with second-hand equipment in the rural countryside near Lakewood, NY. Since then they have grown to become one of the top craft beer companies in the eastern United States.

Their latest and greatest expansion is happening here in Buffalo at the LECOM Harborcenter where (716) Food and Sport used to be. Southern Tier is currently still in the process of converting the space with plans to open later this month.

Here’s what they have planned for the Downtown Buffalo location:

Southern Tier plans to keep many of the elements that made (716) Food and Sport so special, including fan favorites like the big TV and the ice bar. They hope to build on the (716) legacy and become the premier place for Buffalo sports fans to come and support their teams.

When the new location opens, you can expect an enhanced craft beer experience complete with Southern Tier’s full line of craft beers, along with their sister brands Victory Brewing Company, Sixpoint Brewing, and Bold Rock Hard Cider. They will also have ciders, seltzers, and Southern Tier Distilling Company spirits as well as a new menu of hand-crafted, beer-inspired food items and appetizers. Their retail area will be stocked with Southern Tier merchandise along with Southern Tier favorites to go including beer, spirits, and canned cocktails making this a one stop shop for all of your beverage needs.

Southern Tier will be pouring in Buffalo soon enough. Until then, follow Southern Tier Buffalo on Instagram to keep up on their progress as they get ready to open. P.S. If you’re looking for a job, they are hiring!
