The star of I Love Lucy had a special vision for her hometown. Lucille Ball was born and raised in Jamestown before becoming one of America’s top comedic actresses.
As a tribute to where her story began, she wanted to help Jamestown become a destination for comedy, and it is thanks to the National Comedy Center.
This cultural institution and museum is all about celebrating comedy and showcasing comedy’s great minds and unique voices in engaging, inspiring, educating and entertaining ways.
Named the “Best New Museum” in the country by USA Today and one of the “World’s Greatest Places” by TIME magazine, the National Comedy Center is the perfect day trip for the entire family. Laugh all day as you take an interactive journey through the world of comedy – personalized for the type of comedy that you love most.
Laughter can be contagious in the best way possible. So, if you need a little more laughter in your life, put this place on your radar.
