Welcome to the summer of beer gardens in Buffalo (and beyond). Never has there been so many. Never have they been so epic. One thing we absolutely love about beer gardens (you know, besides the beer, the lights, the oddball furniture, yard games and fun people) is that they are good for so many things. They’re the perfect destination for date night, a summer reunion with friends, a casual meal, grabbing a drink and making the most of our beautiful summer nights.

Here’s where to find one near you:

Hydraulic Hearth, Best Beer Gardens in Buffalo

Hydraulic Hearth’s Beer Garden / Step Out Buffalo

Hydraulic Hearth

Larkin District / Downtown

716 Swan St, Buffalo, NY / (716) 248-2216

Depending on who you ask Hydraulic Hearth has the best beer garden in town. It’s equipped with everything a beer-garden lover could ever want, including great places to sit and relax, a bar with 12 craft beers and made-to-order shandies with fresh-squeezed juice, food trucks, strung lights, live music, close proximity to fun (Larkin Square) and to top it off, Shuffleboard. Plus if you’re a cocktail fan, we HIGHLY recommend heading inside to grab one.

Best Beer Gardens in Buffalo, Step Out Buffalo

Resurgence Beer Garden / Step Out Buffalo

Resurgence Brewing Co.

West Side / Downtown
1250 Niagara St., Buffalo, NY 14213 / (716) 381-9868
This brewery’s beer garden is complete with fire pits, picnic tables, hanging lights, food truck visitors, garage doors, delicious snacks, and local beer brewed feet away from your spot in the garden. The inside of Resurgence is just as cool (giant Jenga anyone?). During winter months this is your best bet for an indoor beer garden.

Moor Pat Beer Garden

Moor Pat Beer Garden / Step Out Buffalo

Moor Pat

Williamsville / Northtowns

78 E Spring St, Williamsville, NY / (716) 810-9957

Right off the beaten path in Williamsville find ridiculously delicious Spars’ sausages and an impressive draft list at Moor Pat. This garden extension of the coziest beer bar in the Northtowns is the ideal spot to eat and drink well while enjoying some cornhole in the sun. We mean it.

Canalside Buffalo, Step Out Buffalo

Beer Garden at The Dish at Canalside / Step Out Buffalo

The Dish at Canalside

Canalside / Downtown
44 Prime Street, Buffalo NY
Does anyone else feel like Canalside is the center of the world? The fact that they have beer available in a cozy little beer garden by The Dish solidifies it. There’s nowhere else in the world we’d rather be. The dish offers a great view of the water one way and everything else the other.
