Come summertime, our social calendar is typically filled with art festivals! It’s one of Buffalo’s favorite ways to connect with and support the local creative community.
Unfortunately, many art festivals have been cancelled or postponed because of the pandemic. If you love being surrounded by art as much as we do, there’s a local shop you need to know about. This place has successfully recreated the sensation of attending an art festival.
When you walk inside The Rusty Button Shop, it looks and feels a lot like a local art festival. This shop right in the heart of East Aurora, was created by one local artist who wanted to give local artists a place to sell their work.
There’s nothing quite like The Rusty Button Shop, and here’s why:
All of the artists here are local to Western New York. You’ll only find locally handmade artwork here and new pieces arrive almost daily, so there’s always something new to discover!
You may recognize some of the artists from the Allentown Arts Festival, Elmwood Arts Festival, Borderland Festival, or your favorite annual art events. You’ll also find work by award-winning artists as well as 8 members of the Art & Craftsmen Guild.
The best part about shopping here is whenever you make a purchase, you’re supporting small businesses on multiple levels.
If you’re looking for a new way to support your favorite local artists, check out The Rusty Button Shop on Main Street in East Aurora.
