John Rooney and Laurie Kutas,  the owners of Medici House and Theas in East Aurora, have opened a third restaurant in the former Firedside Inn space. The Yelling Goat, located at 205 Central Ave. in Lancaster, officially opened this past Tuesday, February 3.

The restaurant will be a combination of best hits from John and Laurie’s other restaurants, offering a smattering of dishes from both E.A. establishments. The menu will feature favorites like Theas’ Ethiopian Berbere Wings and over 20 varieties of the beloved hand-tossed, thin-crust pizzas of Medici House. The menu is quite large, offering soups, salads, burgers and bar fare along with the pizza pies.

In addition to delicious pizza and wings with an all-to-familiar East Aurora twist, you’ll find a full bar at The Yelling Goat with 20 craft beers on tap, over 100 varieties in bottle and a decent wine list.

Some menu items we’re looking forward to include Julienned Pig Ear ($8.95), Mango Salad ($11.95), Grilled Romaine Heart ($12.95), Rustic Meatball Pie Pizza ($18), Truffle Burger with white truffle oil, caramelized onions and porcini mushrooms ($12.95), and Cassoulet ($18.95).

For now, hours at The Yelling Goat are the same as Medici House, Mon – Thu: 11:00 am – 10:00 pm, Fri – Sat: 11:00 am – 11:00 pm, Sun: 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm, lunch and dinner seven days a week. As we dined at Theas recently, a server explained that they’ve found the new location has more of a late night crowd than the village of East Aurora, so look for The Yelling Goat hours to adapt as they settle in and feel out the area.
