WNY isn’t quite ready for decking the halls with boughs of holly, but we are ready to backdrop yet another Hallmark movie.

According to NY Upstate, Vidlers 5 & 10 will be featured in an upcoming Christmas movie on the Hallmark Channel. The iconic shop located in East Aurora is the largest shop of its kind, offering candies and nicknacks since opening shop in 1930.

The article states, “The working title of the movie — which filmed scenes in the store in late February — is “Romance on Ice”, said Don Vidler, co-owner of Vidler’s.”

With the distinguishable charm of East Aurora, it is to no surprise that this is not the first time Vidler’s has been featured in a Hallmark movie.

The article goes on to say, “Vidler’s has become a popular spot to shoot holiday movies. Before “Romance on Ice,” Vidler said four other movies have filmed scenes inside or outside the East Aurora shop since 2015: “A Prince for Christmas”; “A Christmas in Vermont”, which featured Chevy Chase; “A Christmas Princess”; and “A Royal Christmas Engagement”.

If you’ve never been to Vidler’s, use this article as your sign to go check it out! You never know what hidden gems you might find here. Plus, it’s super easy to spot –just head to the village and look for the red and white awnings!
