National magazine, Food & Wine, created a list of the BEST doughnuts in America by state. For New York, they could’ve listed some fancy doughnut from a high-end doughnut shop in New York City but lucky for us, they chose a different, very delicious route. One of Buffalo’s trusted donut shops and household names made the list instead (and rightfully so). Can you guess which?
Good old Paula’s Donuts, of course!
If you’re from Buffalo, this probably won’t come as a shock to you because you KNOW how good Paula’s is. Their gigantic size, organic flour, and Ronnybrook Farms milk has created the perfect combo for a fantastic doughnut.
The specific doughnut from Paula’s that was named the Best Doughnut in New York State is none other than the Cannoli doughnut! In 2019, Paula’s sold a whopping 45,000 cannoli doughnuts to benefit a Buffalo charity and, ever since then, it’s made a permanent residence on their menu!
