Listen we’re used to the naysayers and haters – but this is a whole new insult.

Apparently Buffalo is one of the worst places to quarantine according to a recent article by Zippia. The article says “some cities are better places to be stuck at home than others”, and goes on to rank American cities based on spacious apartments, speedy internet, plentiful take-out options, and nearby green space. We do have to admit, our internet has been reeeeal slow lately

The best cities to be quarantined?

  1. Scottsdale, AZ
  2. Irvine, CA
  3. Las Vegas, NV
  4. San Diego, CA
  5. Virginia Beach, VA
  6. Chandler, AZ
  7. San Jose, CA
  8. Raleigh, NC
  9. Orlando, Fl
  10. Austin, TX

99 cities in America were ranked on four criteria: 1) Average apartment size; 2) Amount of parkland per person; 3) Percent of residents with broadband internet; 4) Number of takeout options. Scottsdale Arizona, aka the number one place to be stuck in quarantine, boasts the following credentials: Park Land Per 1k People: 124.3; Broadband Internet: 81.8%; Apartment Size: 946 sq ft; Take-out Options: 1060.

The worst cities to be quarantined?

  1. Newark, NJ
  2. Hialeah, Fl
  3. Paterson, NJ
  4. Buffalo, NY
  5. Laredo, TX
  6. Tucson, AZ
  7. Cleveland, OH
  8. Arlington, TX
  9. McAllen, TX
  10. Boston, MA

While we admit our weather doesn’t always cooperate, we think the authors of this article seriously overlooked our delicious (and bountiful) takeout options and amazing local parks. Plus come summer when all those southern cities are dealing with 100+ degree heat and humidity, we’ll be enjoying what London once called The Coolest City In AmericaHmph.
