A shopping hot spot around Western New York, Elmwood Village (and Allentown) is about as close as you can get to city life shopping ‘round here. The boutiques are the highlight of this area, and the numerous foodie options are a lovely added bonus.

This year the 5th Annual Elmwood Village Black Friday Boutique Crawl will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Friday, November 27 – Shoppers will receive a boutique crawl punch card and an Elmwood Village Map & Guide then hit the shops to get their card punched.   • Cantina Loco – Stop in for a margarita at happy hour or tacos for dinner on the corner of Allen and Elmwood.
  • Joe’s Deli – We suggest stopping by for lunch or happy hour.
  • Grindhaus Cafe – Get your Vegan/Vegetarian eats here!
  • Melting Point – Warm up with a melty, gourmet grilled cheese sandwich.
  • SATO – If you’re in the mood for Ramen, SATO’s your best bet.



The West Side offers shoppers something you won’t find anywhere else in Buffalo: the West Side Bazaar. If you’re in the mood to explore a huge variety of products from across the globe and take your stomach on a world-class trip at the same time (and really who isn’t?), this is the destination for you. Throw in the Winter Market @ Horsefeathers and Thanksgiving weekend on the West Side is where you *need* to be.

  • The Black Sheep – If you find yourself out past 5pm, see if you can snag a table at one of Buffalo’s coolest restaurants. And for Pete’s sake get the Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert!!
  • West Side Bazaar and International Kitchen – Try foods from all over the place, with everything from Burmese to Ethiopian, Thai, Japanese, Peruvian and more!



The Village of Hamburg is kicking off the holiday shopping season on a positive note with Green Friday, a community project that encourages residents to recycle (get it, green? There’s no question that some great shopping lives in North Buffalo, specifically on Hertel Avenue. Here are some good deals to hunt down as and stores to look for as you window shop! (yeah right)

Special Event: On Saturday the North Park Theatre will be hosting a free photo session with Santa and Mrs. Claus next door at the Globe Market (located at 1416 Hertel Ave) from 5 p.m. -7 p.m. and will be playing ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ and ‘Brooklyn’ at North Park Theater which each cost $5.

NOTE: Although the photo session with Santa is a free event there will be a ticket system to ensure that everyone gets a photo op. Tickets will be available at Peek-A-Boo Baby Boutique from 11/17 to 11/24 and are limited to one ticket per family.
