You hear the name and many thoughts come to mind – fantastic subs, great staff, and a grocery experience like no other. Wegmans is a local favorite and while it has been recognized many times before, it just received a major win.
In a recent article from Insider, Wegmans and Whole Foods were compared based on their selection of offerings and overall experience. After visiting both grocery stores, Wegmans was ultimately the clear winner due to their thoughtful design and private label grocery staples.

While this may be the opinion of Insider, it doesn’t end there. In Newsweek and Statista’s 2022 “America’s Best Retailers” survey, more than 10,000 shoppers named Wegmans as the No. 1 supermarket. In this survey, rankings were based on

- Shop Layout
This means Wegmans beat out major grocery stores including Publix, Whole Foods, Kroger, and more based on this criteria.
So there you have it, Wegmans has not only won the hearts of WNYers but of many more across the U.S.
