Presentation & Garden Walk: How to Improve Your Soil Organically and Grow a Nutrient-Dense Edible Garden
Saturday, May 1 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

This presentation is all about learning how to improve your edible garden! Fran of Heirloom Soul Florals will teach the basic tenets of starting a new backyard garden and how to keep it healthy. This class is open to both novice and seasoned gardeners. You will receive a list of recommended gardening resources, tools, supplies and organic fertilizers to help you on your gardening journey.
After the presentation, you can stay and walk through Heirloom Soul Florals flower farm with Fran, where she will show examples of her soil prep and organic growing techniques that are applicable to your home veggie garden.
Beehive Inspection Class
Saturday, May 8 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

If you’re a beekeeper looking to advance your inspection skills, this hands-on class is for you. Tara and Jeff Hahn of Hahn’s Honeybee Haven will cover everything from when and how often to inspect your colonies, exactly what you should be looking for, and how to handle honeybee pests and pathogens.
Plus, they will conduct an actual inspection on a colony followed by a Q&A session. Gloves and veils are required, and you should dress to the level you are most comfortable handling bees with.
Spirits and Smudge Sticks At Kin Loch Farmstead

For this event with Stage Door Medium, you can expect a beautiful night of inspiring and healing messages. Jimmy will be hosting a group reading in Kin Loch’s barn. You’ll also make a smudge stick to help cleanse your home and ward off negative energy.
Lavender 101: U-Pick + Plant + Learn
Wednesday, June 23 from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Prices Starting at: $40
This “lavender 101” class covers all the basics. You’ll get to cut one bundle of fresh lavender, select one plant to take home, and learn all about this wonderful herb and how to care for it. Weather permitting, this class will be taught in the lavender field by Kin Loch’s owner, Alex Plante.
Stamp Carving and Lavender Sachet Making
Wednesday, July 28 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Lavender sachets can rest by your bedside to help with sleep, or lay amongst your clothing as a perfume. In this class, you will learn how to create your own stamp design by carving rubber blocks to brand two lavender sachets!
